Publisher's Summary

In the captivating start to a new, darkly lyrical fantasy series, Tea can raise the dead, but resurrection comes at a price.

When Tea accidentally resurrects her brother from the dead, she learns she is different from the other witches in her family. Her gift for necromancy means that she's a bone witch, a title that makes her feared and ostracized by her community. But Tea finds solace and guidance with an older, wiser bone witch, who takes Tea and her brother to another land for training.

In her new home, Tea puts all her energy into becoming an asha - one who can wield elemental magic. But dark forces are approaching quickly, and in the face of danger, Tea will have to overcome her obstacles and make a powerful choice.

Don’t miss the story and the fantastic world building

Poor reading performance- I don’t think anyone wants to constantly hear a narrator in anguish even when the story doesn’t call for it. But if you can get past the performance, the story and the world is beautiful..

good world building

the world building and writing style are truly interesting albeit the narration is a tad annoying especially since they pronounced the protagonist's name incorrectly for the entirety of the book when it was mentioned multiple times how it is to be pronounced in the book itself!!

Listened in a single go

such entrancing voice and voice acting, beautifully paired with such an enchanting story, I simply couldn't put it down for a minute. Thank God for earphones, but I absolutely adored Tea and Fox, so far.

on to next book now ❤️

Brilliant

This was one of those rare instances when I enjoyed the performance almost as much as I enjoyed the book. The world of the bone witch is entrancing and rich, I wish I could stay here for longer. Glad this is a trilogy. Excellent writing, wonderfully imagined and written.
