Publisher's Summary
Gabby Mays wishes she had her future figured out, like her gorgeous roommate Anna-Marie, who has just landed a role on the hit soap opera Passion Medical. Gabby would give anything to find a career she’s half as passionate about as Anna-Marie is about acting - and a love life that isn’t comprised of nights with a party-sized bag of Doritos and her Netflix account.
When Gabby becomes a recurring extra on Passion Medical, she finds a job she’s surprisingly great at. Even better, her old crush and ex-boss - the sexy, sweet Will Bowen - is writing the scripts, allowing Gabby lots of quality flirting time at the craft services table.
But between feuding divas, fake Emmys, and Gabby’s growing concern that Will might not see her as anything more than a friend, her life on set is quickly becoming a drama worthy of the soaps.
The Extra is a stand-alone romance novel with PG-13 rated content, no cliffhanger, and a swoon-worthy happily-ever-after.

Cute Story
I like stories that are different and end in a good way. The ending of this book evolved and kept me guessing. It did not just have a big rushed drop off.

Fun Story
This was a fun story with lots of young angst. I loved the whole idea of them trying to figure out their life path and what they were going to do with their future.

Funny and relatable
I panicked up this book to get over a depressing read, and it so did the trick! Gabby is a funny, and sometimes heartbreaking, protagonist. I found the characters engaging and believable. It’s slightly predictable story is saved by honest insights and emotions and storytelling that really has you pulling for Gabby’s happiness. A delightful read!

Save your credit
I made it to chapter 10 before i could not take any more of Gabby's internal worry. There was only so much complaining i could take. Dont waste your monthly credit on Gabby and her worry.

This is a different style love story
It definitely has its comedy moments and its downer moments. Not exactly your Hallmark Channel love story but a very good one nonetheless.

I lost interest
Made it to chapter 7 and finally stopped because I really had no idea who her love interest was gonna be, nor what the point of this story is. Does she want to be an actress? She complains about EVERYTHING and EVERYONE! Finally I juat gave up and am on the hunt for a romance. Real romance.
