Forty years ago, Harriet Vanger disappeared from a family gathering on the island owned and inhabited by the powerful Vanger clan. Her body was never found, yet her uncle is convinced it was murder - and that the killer is a member of his own tightly knit but dysfunctional family.

A perfect combination of story writing and telling
Larsson has written one of the finest mysteries of all time. Reichlin somehow managed to add beauty to it.

Late pickup but made the end great
The book starts off at a slow pace showing the characters. It's much later in the second half the pace gets picked up and gets going good

simply splendid , beautifully narrated
From the first chapter you just cant ask to stop, its a bone chilling tale of all emotions - love, hate, fear, revenge and more … you will simply fall for this one .

Gripping story, wonderful narration
The story is gripping and the author has narrated in a slow and steady manner. The reader does a fantastic job of keeping us engrossed. Overall happy I picked this one... Only one con, this novel is actually multiple plots combined together... 3/4 of this book is on the main plot which kind of climaxes and then there are 3 more chapters to close out other threads... that is kind of dragging.. Anyways this novel made my commute a walk in the park.

compelling read
this is the first audible in years that held my attention right through and almost non-stop. There is so much packed into this book of greed, brutality, unexpected tenderness , extraordinary love and the utter surprises the human mind throws up! all in all fascinating and calling it a gripping listen is an understatement. as an audio book, its brilliance is enhanced by the actor who read it out so well making it an unstoppable listen!
