Story
Three thousand years ago, deep inside the forests of India, a great 'thought- revolution' was brewing. In those forest labs, the brightest scientist-philosophers contemplated the universe and reflected upon the already-ancient texts called the Vedas, gaining some startling insights into questions that we still have no watertight answers to. This joyful, fun guide to some of India's most enduring and secular wisdoms, reinterpreted for first-time explorers by author Roopa Pai, is guaranteed to keep you listening.

Story
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Publisher's Summary
It's one of the oldest books in the world and India's biggest blockbuster best seller! But isn't it meant only for religious old people? But isn't it very long? And, erm, super difficult to read? And isn't the stuff it talks about way too complex for regular folks to understand?
Prepare to be surprised. Roopa Pai's spirited, one-of-a-kind retelling of the epic conversation between Pandava prince Arjuna and his mentor and friend Krishna busts these and other such myths about the Bhagavad Gita. Lucid, thought-provoking and brimming with fun trivia, this audiobook will stay with you long after you have heard the last words. Why haven't you listened to it yet?

Best Book on Bhagavadgita for Beginners
Narration is clear, slow and easy to follow. This book doesn't just repeat what the Gita says as-is, but also tries to interpret it for the modern times.
However, this is not a religious book. It is a philosophical treatise whose aim to teach how to live and conduct oneself.

Amazing
Our whole family listens to this on a regular basis. Highly recommend. Beautiful current day narration without loosing any detail or essence of Bhagavad Gita. I particularly love the occasional references to modern literature. I only wish there was a little background music, but even without this is amazing.
