Smashing voice acting
Rosamund Pike has forever spoiled me for any other voice actors.
The voice modulations, tones, diction. The book and setting comes so alive.
Jordan's world building has always been fantastic and it isa credit to Pike that she makes it more vivid in this narration. Absolutely wonderful!
I am gonna eagerly await for the dragon reborn and the rest of it.

Rosamund shines again as a superior narrator
No, I think Rosamund Pike is just superior to all the narrators ever.
Sorry not sorry, and I mean no offense - but 0.5 stars are docked for every single audiobook I listen to if Miss Pike is not the narrator.
She is even better in this one - the part where (spoiler ahead) she is narrating all of Rand's lives through the portal stones, I was riveted and had goosebumps throughout. Her voice is so good at invoking emotions and using tones to very clearly portray moods and humor! The increased number of characters in this doesn't flag her talent at differentiating between characters either! I hope amazon forks over the cash to keep her reading these books out loud for us even if they ever (god forbidding) decide to cancel the series.
As for the story - an amazing, enjoyable ride! It's been so long since I've read an adventure, quest, journey kind of a story - with Eye of the World, even though some of the aspects were there, it just didn't feel the same. There's something very different about the Great Hunt and, I loved it. I hope the Dragon Reborn keeps up the pace - because I'm genuinely invested now, and I would love to keep this flow going.

What a story and performance
My respect for Rosamund Pike just increased 10 fold... The story is awesome but her performance is unparalleled. The rest of the series books are available with other readers but I think I will wait till Rosamund Pike picks up the rest...

When the narrator blows you away...
I've stated previously how much I loved this series as a child growing up. Eagerly awaiting the release of every book. I loved them all, I cried, rejoiced, mourned. The story had felt so alive and I had never thought that anybody would be able to 'tell' me the story as well as I had read it. I had tried the other narrators but... it hadn't felt right. They're not bad, I'm listening Sanderson. But Pike has blown me away. This isn't the first time, nor the second considering that I read Eye of the World. No, the first time she blew my mind was when I watched a play called Madame de Sade in London. I knew then, when she stood equal to Dame Judi Dench in that theatre, that she was someone to watch. And she has not disappointed. The performance is rich, the characters all given their own voices. Her words, those of Jordan, paints the world in bright colors. This is such a pleasure to listen to.
I truly hope Rosamund Pike will complete the whole series. I'm willing to wait for every book, as I did decades ago for the series. This narration has done the world justice.

even though I like Kate’s narration, I can’t stand Michael’s. I don’t mean he’s bad, he’s just NOT FOR ME.

Rosamund Pike deserves an award
Both Wheel of Time books narrated by Rosamund Pike are phenomenal. There are times when listening, I stop, turn to my wife in shock and go:
“This is ALL one person.”
I’ve never enjoyed narration so much as I have when she does it, and it’s so true to how I’ve experienced the characters when I’ve read the books on my own. If there was an Oscar for best narrator, she should have it! Much better then the other WoT audiobook narrators, so much so I’ll have to wait another year for Pike’s narration of “The Dragon Reborn”
Buy this version, you won’t be disappointed!!

Rosamund saves The Wheel of Time
The second book in the series read by Rosamund Pike continues to bring this series to life in ways that the previous recordings never could. The entire production is phenomenal. I had attempted to get into this series so many times over the years and never could. Now it’s like a feast for the ears and imagination. The story comes to life and it as enjoyable as book one.

I only wish pre-sale of book 3 was available now
Rosamund Pike was made to make these audiobooks. She understands the material and brings it to life in such a say as you adventure with Rand and allbof the Two Rivers Folk.
Hopefully book 3 is ready before season 2 of the Prime series is released.
This fan of WOT is beyond pleased.

Phenomenal
Rosamund Pike is one of the best narrators I have ever listened to. She brings the story alive. I've even listened to a couple of Jane Austin books she did on here. The way she gives characters unique voices is both fitting for their personalities and impressive. I know who's speaking before it's even specified, after getting to know them. Just amazing. I really hope she does more of the series!
For the book itself, The Wheel of Time is classic. If you enjoy rich worlds of fantasy and magic, you need to experience this story. The amount of life and detail Robert Jordan put into this world is amazing. This series has been a staple part of my life since I was about 8 and trying to read the big books my mom read lol. I might be biased, but it's worth diving into.

Breathtaking story and narration!
I just finished the audiobook of Robert Jordan’s “The Great Hunt” narrated by Rosamund Pike, and I’m awestruck.
The story is as epic as any in fantasy, with character drama and development that makes you care at the individual human level, all the way up to world (and time!) shaking events.
And Pike’s absolutely masterful performance brings it to life more than you can imagine! The emotion, tension, romance and battles leap from the page into your mind’s eye thanks to Rosamund Pike, who has to be the most gifted narrator alive today.
Let the Dragon ride again on the winds of time, and let Rosamund Pike narrate all 14 books of Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time!

Rosamund Pike Makes this Book
This book is simply fantastic. It's more mature than the first book and has some very genuinely shocking, emotional, and almost scary moments. This coupled with Rosamund Pike's fantastic performance and it'll be hard to not finish this book in a week. I found myself excusing myself from conversations with my roommate to go listen to this book. At times I grew annoyed at Rand, as he comes to terms with who he is but those moments are far and few between, compared to the times I was actually chewing my fingernails in anticipation.
I'm now torn as I want to listen to the next book, but don't want a new narrator.

Rosamund Pike triumphs again!!
I listened to Rosamund read book 1 last year & I was thoroughly entertained. At the time after listening to book 1 I wanted to hear her read book 2 but it was unfortunately not available. I tried to listen to the yanks reading it & I’m sorry but I just couldn’t get on board with it….I know that this may ruffle feathers but Rosamund reads it so beautifully I find myself swept away during her fantastic narration. The yanks seem to have the opposite effect…I made a point of not purchasing their narrations holding out hope for Rosamund!! I was delighted when it was announced that Rosamund had recorded book 2. I’ve been extremely entertained listening to this over the last 12 days, it was read beautifully as previously mentioned. I also very much liked the additional singers during the songs. I have book 3 preordered I’m just disappointed that I’ve got to wait another 10 months for it. Please keep them coming Rosamund, I’ll happily pay for all 14 books + the prequel. I want them all now!!

Rosamund Pike: simply amazing
As much as I loved the stories, I refused to get the original audiobooks: poor quality sound recording and wooden narration (if Pike is acting in these re-recordings - and by God she is - then one cannot describe the original performances as acting by any fair comparison).
Pike takes a great story that’s really starting to heat up and brings it all to vivid life: the breathless actions sequences, the conflict and comraderie between friends and the inner monologue struggles - all performed wonderfully.

Fantastic apart from the Seanchan
First off, I have all the original audiobooks for WoT so that has probably coloured my view on this (vastly differing pronunciations of place/ people's names etc).
I love the Eye of the World with Rosamund Pike narrating so I decided to double dip on this one too and it is great.
However, the Seanchan having spaghetti western type American cowboy accents (I guess maybe it's because they come from out west?) is something I can't quite get into. It leaves me a little concerned of future books with more of a Seanchan presence, I don't think I'll double dip on further books if the accent persists.
Other than that, it's great.

Rosamund made this a 100/100 experience
I can never listen to an American male narration ever again after such a treat by Rosamund!! Wow !! The voice , the intonation, the character performance , the storytelling - this was the most enjoyable and meditative experience ever! Loved starting my day with this!

Sensational
Rosamund Pike brings over 28 hours of enthralling listening with this Audiobook. She has Mat Cauthon’s accent (from first season) down to a tee. Don’t know why it adds so much, but it does and is very enjoyable. Rand is just as frustrating in his excruciatingly slow acceptance of who he is. Cannot wait till Book 3 read by Rosamund Pike is released.
