I don't think anyone needs reviews of the contents of the book itself since it is so popular. This particular audiobook read by Andy Serkis is great and he is such a fantastic and versatile voice artist!

Lord of the rings is/was/ and will be one hell of an epic of all times, but it is Andy Serkis and his version of Gollum (movies and audiobooks both) that actually outshines even what JRR must have had in his mind.

and Andy is a master of voices, he can become anyone on this or an realms and he would perform it better than any of us can picturise in our heads.

Andy is why I revisited The Hobbit as an audio version, and Andy is the one which is why I am going to the Silmarillion next.

A lot of gratitude to JRR for the Middle Earth, and kudos to Andy Serkis for personifying every little thing from Middle Earth.
