Publisher's Summary

Chilling initiations. Big banks and money manipulations. Possible links to the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Adamses, and Bushes. Reviewing the evidence, documents, and connections, The Illuminati: The Secret Society That Hijacked the World by award-winning journalist and author Jim Marrs shines a light on the history, workings, continuing influence, and pernicious and hidden power of this secret order.

Surveying experts - from those who dismiss the Illuminati as a short-lived group of little consequence to skeptics who dare question the government's accounts and pronouncements - Marrs cuts through the wild speculation and the attempts to silence critical thinkers to tell the true story of this secret cabal. He investigates their origin as "The Ancient and Illuminated Seers of Bavaria", the depiction on the United States one-dollar bill of an all-seeing eye and pyramid on the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States, the Protocols - or procedures - for usurping national governments and gaining world domination, the symbolism found in today's international corporate logos, Knights Templar, assassins, Skull and Bones, whistle blowers, the revolutions in France, Russia, and America, and much, much more.

Repetitive but Very Interesting

Jim Marrs' book feels more like collected essays than a single narrative. Consequently, certain material is repeated several times, occasionally verbatim, throughout the book. It is jarring enough that you'll check your Audible app to see if you've accidentally bumped the timeline. That said, the material is very interesting. The narrator does a fine job presenting the material in a calm manner normally not found in conspiracy analysis. If you have a credit or three lying around, this is a selection you won't regret.

Very interesting. It makes you go hmmmm.

It was entertaining to think how history connects with secret societies. I will have to read the different books, articles the author talks about. I can see heading down the rabbit hole investigating!

A significant piece of the puzzle

Although this book is repetetive and the information has been available for years, it was worth listening to.
If you are a student of history, it is important to consider these premisses in order to anticipate what is to come. If you read the Bible and worship Christ you will acknowledge that he told you this would happen.

narration was kinda bland and emotionless.

Very Interesting, It seems that here in kinds card to consciousness is expanding in growing and soon there will be no more rocks and crevices for these Illuminati folks to hide we will be able to see everything that they do and plan in the open and we will be able to stop them. Their time is limited. Narration could have been better if it just had a little bit of emotion behind it it was somewhat monotone.

This is a real eye opener! Great book!

personal opinion is that some of the claims of the book are accurate but misrepresentative of the whole struggle for good and evil. looking at the current state of affairs some of the conspiracies are attributed to the illuminati, where as there may be a deeper conspiracy where the opposition may really be the one pulling the strings........

Must read and memorize this book!

This is by far the best organized culmination of historic accounts related to not only the Illuminati but also the origins of Zionism, and the reasons present-day events of based on facts. This book should be condensed and taught in schools worldwide.

AKA the hidden hand

Great book from Jim Marrs with facts the media and education dare not share.
Shows how far we have been programmed when everything to do with this nefarious cabal is denied.
prepare to be educated

Great Page Turner..

I have read a lot of Jim Marrs books, I would rate this in my top 3, the other 2 being. Crossfire and rule of secrecy.

Rule of Secrecy being closer to The Illuminati, crossfire was about JFK. Gives a great background and has some similarities
to rule of secrecy. If you like that book you will also love this. I would a lot of the material very interesting, and like the way
Jim Marrs unravels a subject. Narrator does a solid job as well.. Value for money being nearly 20 hours of audio.

Frustrating

This book starts off promising for about the first hour but then quickly spirals into problems. .

Firstly, the ancient alien themes of Zechariah Sitchin are promoted heavily throughout, and clearly the author is promoting the notion that illuminati members could well be Anunnaki descendants of ancient alien gods, which is quite ludicrous.

The second, and larger problem, is the constant repetition. All the way through the book, and more as it progresses, text will be repeated literally word for word, resulting in a book that probably contains 30% identical passages. Basically, you’ll be read an hour or so text, then you’ll hear the same texts word for word again, which is a total waste of time and is increasingly frustrating to the listener.

Despite these major negative issues there are some interesting nuggets of information, but due to the frustrations and repetitive boredom I would avoid this book.
