Everyone has a story. Some stories must be told before it's too late.Journalist Ava Morales travels from Mackinaw City to Marquette, Michigan, expecting a straightforward assignment: interview renowned writer and songwriter Edgar Casey and turn his life story into a novel. What she finds at Amber Villa is anything but straightforward.Edgar is charming, stubborn, reflective, and armed with a wicked sense of humor—not to mention an ongoing determination to eat the donuts his caregiver, Terese, insists he shouldn't have. But beneath Edgar's humor lies a lifetime marked by abandonment, family turmoil, faith and disillusionment, complicated relationships, fatherhood, loss, regret, and the painful consequences of choices made long ago. As Ava begins peeling away the layers of his past, the professional distance between interviewer and subject slowly disappears. What begins as one man's attempt to preserve the story of his life becomes something neither of them expected—a journey through forgiveness, second chances, and the families we're born into as well as the ones we find along the way.Warm, candid, heartbreaking, and often unexpectedly funny, The Last Testament of Edgar Casey is a story about confronting the past without allowing it to define the rest of your life.©2026 Edgar Terry (P)2026 Edgar Terry
