I love the themes of the author to bring hope to people. My favourite is Midnight library but this book was really good too. I hope the author keep writing on such themes. Thank you

I have always been torn between his style, his stories and everything he puts in his book. So, after a break when I picked up this book, — I had high hopes; and this delivers on exactly that.

This book knows just the right words to say, the story is captivating; and if you understand on a deeper level, the troves of philosophical ways this can be interpreted is godly.

I picked this book up when the world felt one sided, as if everything is decided and no matter how hard I try, I can not ever make a place for me. (Exactly how the book starts) and by the end of the book, I too am left at the awe of life, and the little joys along the way.

All in all, an amazing book.

Joanne lumley's performance made this listen extremely vivid and alive. I would have butchered the Spanish pronunciations if I had read the book myself and her animated reading akin to stage performance was pure enjoyment to listen. it made the life affirming concepts and thoughts of Matt Haig beautiful to receive.

The story will be welcomed by those who truly understand it...

Books is interesting in parts. But the story has been dragged a lot. Many parts don't feel real

Not as great as other Matt Haig books

Have loved the last couple of books by Matt Haig, so was really excited for this one. It started out well enough, usual wholesome elements of magic, human complexity, and evocative writing. But then it kind of… loses the plot. I love fantasy, magical realism and happy endings, but it felt like the author got too carried away - felt myself growing more and more incredulous as the plot progressed like, SURELY, for all the magic in the world, it cant be that easy. It didnt help that the protagonist went from very real journey of grief, loss, and finding herself to saviour mode. I dragged myself to finish it because i kept hoping things would turn around but alas. Narration was good, but the story was a letdown. Disappointed by this one, but still hoping for more promising stuff by Haig in the future!
