Publisher's Summary
The Murders at Fleat House is a suspenseful and utterly compelling crime novel from the author of the multimillion-selling The Seven Sisters series, Lucinda Riley.
The sudden death of a pupil in Fleat House at St Stephen’s—a small private boarding school in deepest Norfolk—is a shocking event that the headmaster is very keen to call a tragic accident.
But the local police cannot rule out foul play and the case prompts the return of high-flying Detective Inspector Jazmine ‘Jazz’ Hunter to the force. Jazz has her own private reasons for stepping away from her police career in London, and reluctantly agrees to front the investigation as a favour to her old boss.
Reunited with her loyal sergeant Alastair Miles, she enters the closed world of the school, and as Jazz begins to probe the circumstances surrounding Charlie Cavendish’s tragic death, events are soon to take another troubling turn.
Charlie is exposed as an arrogant bully, and those around him had both motive and opportunity to switch the drugs he took daily to control his epilepsy.
As staff at the school close ranks, the disappearance of young pupil Rory Millar and the death of an elderly classics master provide Jazz with important leads, but are destined to complicate the investigation further. As snow covers the landscape and another suspect goes missing, Jazz must also confront her personal demons....
Then, a particularly grim discovery at the school makes this the most challenging murder investigation of her career. Because Fleat House hides secrets darker than even Jazz could ever have imagined....

The Murder at Fleat House
My sister recommended this book to me and I am so glad she did. I enjoyed it and was touched that Lucinda Riley's son completed this book in honor of his Mom and I certainly think his Mom would be very proud of him. I personally would love to hear he would write a sequel to this book, as I am sure many readers/listener's would support this. The narration was excellent.

Boring
I struggled to finish this book and was waiting for it to get a bit more on track with Lucindas usual writing style.
I really did not enjoy the narrator, voice was monotonous and not pleasant to listen to.

Another gem by Lucinda Riley
Loved every second of this book, the storyline ad well as the narration. Even though I usually don't like mysteries, I'm a huge Lucinda Riley fan and couldn't miss her final book. It's very different to her other books, but gripping and thoroughly enjoyable. So tragic that she's gone.

Absolutely Fantastic
This book is Soo gripping. I hope it would be turned into a series with either Gemma Whelan or Vicky Mclure as Jaz. It's a real shame there's no follow up book.

Fantastic story, well read and addictive!
Definitely one of the best crime based fiction books I've read in a while! Really enjoyed the story with plenty going on around the basic theme and enough complexity to keep me hooked throughout. Would definitely recommend!

Superb in every way.
Realistic characters, interesting plot, clever reveals, and narrated by one of the best.
I wish this could have been a many book series but the author was taken far too soon.

dated and questionable
the attitude towards domestic violence is gross and incredibly outdated.... sympathetic to the perpetrator and "she drove him to it". author's son gives a introduction including the decision not to edit this old manuscript posthumously and I wonder if that's what he's getting at. his introduction was a bit cryptic and apologetic without real explanation. the main character "looks like a supermodel". really wish they had made the decision to edit. mystery itself is just ok.

Great book and wonderful narration
Absolutely loved this book, it was so nice to have a crime novel without it being too dark and sinister. The narration was excellent. So very sad Lucinda passed so tragically young and has robbed us of her talent and future novels but thank you to her son for finishing her work, I am eagerly awaiting the release of Atlas to find out the story of Pa Salt.

Having read the Star Sisters books I thought I should try another of Lucinda Riley’s - this lived up to all my expectations - now I want to read everything she wrote. So sad she had such a short life but she has certainly left her mark
