I had high expectations from a book that is supposed to be a cute romance with two veterinarians. Instead, this read like a teenager’s daydream after watching animal videos on Instagram. If vets actually behaved like how these two did, I would file a complaint! Completely unrealistic and unprofessional. In the name of comedy, and trying to concoct humorous situations, the vets come across as having no clue about the behaviour of animals. The Cuban family plot felt like a device to make the book seem inclusive and diverse. They had no depth and were again a bad attempt at creating humour that fell flat like all the jokes on the board.
