I enjoyed how this story weaved so many memorable characters into the plot of the story. as a listener, you grew to know them all. ambition, love and rejection, or duty, played such a role in the story. I was sorry it had to end!

Warning: highly addictive!

Obligatory for fans of the Chronicles of Barchester. Some characters from those stories reappear here in sublime tales of political ambition, unrequited love and social climbing.

A superb rendering of Trollope’s novels

Reaching the end of this sublime series was like losing a dear friend. Suspenseful, funny and heartbreaking, Trollope is truly one of England’s greatest storytellers. The quintessential guide to what it means to be English.

Excellent Production

This production of Trollope's sublime Pallisers series of books involving the politics and manners of the time. The exposure of the vagaries of human nature is excellently shown and highlights when Trollope is at his best. The excellent narrator and actors bring it to life and transport you there.
