Publisher's Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
James Patterson and Bill Clinton - the 'dream team' (Lee Child) - return with a thriller even more compelling than global number-one best seller The President Is Missing.
Every detail is accurate because one of the authors is President Bill Clinton.
The drama and action never stop because the other author is James Patterson.
All presidents have nightmares. This one is about to come true.
Matthew Keating, a one-time Navy SEAL and a former US president, has always defended his family as fiercely as he has his country.
Now these defences are under attack. And it's personal.
Keating's teenage daughter, Melanie, has been abducted, turning every parent's deepest fear into a matter of national security.
As the world watches, Keating embarks on a one-man special-ops mission that tests his strengths: as a leader, a warrior and a father.
Because Keating knows that in order to save Melanie's life, he will have to put his own on the line....
Critic Reviews
"A thriller with inside secrets and riveting excitement that only the partnership of Patterson and Clinton could produce." (Walter Isaacson, internationally best-selling author)
"Rich with the authenticity only a president can deliver." (Robert Crais, bestselling author of the Elvis Cole series)
"James Patterson, the grand master of American story telling, is on fire here, and Bill Clinton's two terms in the White House give the book an authenticity that, quite frankly, the competition will never come even close to matching." (Tony Parsons, best-selling author of Your Neighbour's Wife)

Dramatic Entertaining but too long
From the authors of their previous book The President Is Missing, this book is exactly similar to the previous one - it's very dramatic, with twists and turns not entirely unexpected and very well describing the inner view. It is a typical fiction work and worthy of one read. The length however was a tad more. The narration was excellent as was to be expected. Story was predictable. An okay experience.

Perfect!
I really thought I will listen to it slowly ;) and enjoy the pleasure.
But it was too interesting! Took me a week or so to finish this book (I listened all the time if I had a minute or so).
It has all you expect and even more!
Just take it and enjoy!

A burden to read
This story was overwritten, poorly edited and a challenge to sit through. The plot was average, the text was heavily repetitive and drawn out, leaving any moments that would normally be emotionally impactful, dry and anticlimactic. I only continued with it to the end because I paid for it.

A great read and listen😀
I loved this book. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was hooked right from the start. One thing that interested me was understanding the collaboration between Paterson and Clinton. I would like to know who contributed what. Obviously Paterson is a force to be recognised, his artful penmanship speaking for itself. Bill Clinton? I never knew he had a literary talent. He himself a President could speak with experience and I can only hope this wasn't an actual recollection of fact, his own family being similar to the Kenning family.
I felt it was great and look forward to reading anything new from the collaboration.
The narration was excellent, and I liked the use of music. Loved it.

What’s the audible version of ‘can’t put it down’.
In true James Patterson compelling style, once drawn into the story and characters I was hooked! Great entertainment and escapism with regular twists and turns. Much better than some of the reviews indicated.

Disappointing
Not the best Patterson novel. The multiple narrator idea doesn’t work for me. Over the top and spoiled my enjoyment
