Story
Humans have an inbuilt drive to search for their inner power and potentiality. This search is the search for life itself. We are here, we have life - but we don't know what life really is. We can feel our energy but don't know where this energy comes from and to what goal this energy is going. We are that energy; we have glimpses of its true source and our connection to it, and those glimpses keep us going even when it seems we will never find what we are seeking - but still we do not know what that energy is.

One of the best of his discourse
- By Chanchal Raj on 29-11-23
Publisher's Summary
This series of talks is on one of the most esoteric treatises in the world. It will show you the way to become more than the body and the way to bloom - how not to remain a seed but to become a golden flower. What, in India, they call the one thousand-petalled lotus, in China they call the golden flower. It is a symbol that represents perfection, totality. Moreover, the flower represents the actualization of the potential - the beauty, the grandeur, the splendor of being.
This treatise, The Secret of Secrets: The Secret of the Golden Flower, is very ancient, possibly one of the most ancient treatises in the world - at least 25 centuries old. But 25 centuries can be traced back very easily. And this treatise is also, uniquely, a great synthesis of all the great religions. The Bible belongs to the Christians, the Talmud belongs to the Jews, the Vedas belong to the Hindus, the Dhammapada to the Buddhists, the Tao Te Ching to the Taoists. But this small book, The Secret of Secrets: The Secret of the Golden Flower, belongs to no one in particular, or it belongs to all. It is heavily based on Taoist teachings, a flowering of the Taoist approach to life and existence. But it is not only that. Zarathustra has played a role; his teachings are incorporated within it. Buddhist teachings have also been integrated, and a certain esoteric school of Christians, the Nestorians, have played their part. It is one of the most synthetical approaches.
These 31 talks will introduce you to a world of consciousness, meditation, and a transformative space - it's a pure joy to listen to Osho.

Final Teaching
Osho is one of a kind spiritual genius. His lectures completely destroy ignorance and directly goes to the heart of it. Ultimately, you either get it or you don't. That's how it is meant to be and not have a lukewarm understanding. Humanity is trapped in shame and guilt and Osho brings out all human repression & taboo to the forefront to dissect and explain where exactly the problem lies.

Pure Poetry
Listening to Osho is listening to poetry. It is a sheer joy. The way he interrelates and marries opposite forces in this dualistic universe is a work of art. At once a genius in the learned scholarly realm of information and a mystic of the deepest existential mysteries, Osho himself is a marriage of dualities which makes him so appealing to people of all ages and backgrounds. His work will continue to arouse and inspire people for centuries. So long as there is an interest in knowing, whether in the higher intellectual pursuits of the outside world, or the inner workings of the soul, Osho has a way of capturing one's attention and fascination. What he does from there is the work of a true Master. What he gives you with one hand, he takes away with the other. By and by listening to Osho, he leaves you utterly naked, standing on nothing but your own innermost emptiness - the true function of a buddha. 5 stars for Osho!

Secrets Revealed
Powerful book! Love Osho and his lectures. I found this book to be extremely intense and very informative. He covers everything. However it was also very repetitive of some of his other work and at times could drag along. The lectures themselves had a redundancy to them and were very politically charged and biased. Like most spiritual leaders and activists, I found him to be have a great overall message but laden heavy with ego.

Save your money!!
The person you are hearing in this book was the leader of a group of terrorists who committed acts of biological terrorism in the US. I have no idea why anyone would think this hypocrite would know anything about nirvana. I’m sad that I purchased this book and gave money to these people without knowing the full truth. These books should be removed so people don’t get fooled into supporting this group of terrorist.

Don't buy this if you're prone to headaches.
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No. Perhaps I had too high expectations, but there are other teachers in this field that resonate more with me. That's just a personal preference, though, but I'm still not an Osho fan after this incredibly long endeavour.
Would you be willing to try another one of Osho’s performances?
No. Definitely not. Osho had a good understanding of the English language and a huge vocabulary, along with wit and passion, but with this purchase comes 53 hours of horribly poor pronounciation that will make your ears bleed. With all due respect, but this is a strain on the brain in several ways.
There is no S in "majority", no G in "experience," "existence" and "presence", and the words "both" and "later" are very different words from "boat" and "latter", to name but a few. "Horse" and "without" are words, while "harse" and "bidout" are not. Osho did not pronounce the letter H in words like "shatter," "bullshit," "sharp", "push" "attention" and the like, but he added an annoying, drawn out sssshhhhhhhh sound to the end of every sentenceeeeshhhhhhh and often interchange a's for e's and vice versa. I'm sorry for pointing all of this out and perhaps coming across as rude, as I have deep respect for people who pick up secondary languages, but this lasts for 53 hours, and I wish this was all in the reviews before I bought the book. He also yells a whole lot, creating fluctuance in volume throughout the entire reading.
Any additional comments?
If you're not especially interested and unless you have a very good understanding of the English language, this book is probably not for you. If you have sensory issues or using audible as a means of better language understanding, you should definitely pick something else to listen to.

Doesn’t go into detail about the Golden Flower
There is very little, in the 50+ hours of this book, that concentrated upon the Golden Flower, so the title is a little misleading. It’s basically a series of talks by Osho, during which he occasionally includes the Golden Flower.

In depth discourse on meditation
Osho delivers a masterclass in a series of discourses describing what meditation is, and is not. An essential for anyone seeking to go deep within.

Comprehensive and Profound
I'm slowly but surely becoming enamored with Osho and his teachings. This book delves deep into the history of Taoist teaching, while remaining very relevant to today.
Osho may seem controversial to begin with, but the more you understand his teaching the more it all makes sense.
I've changed my understanding of myself, and am grateful to have discovered such important knowledge.
My only criticism of this audiobook is that the recording levels can jump from quiet to loud and back again, making it necessary to keep adjusting the volume. However this is a small concern when being rewarded with such wisdom.
