Publisher's Summary

After fighting a troll in a back alley, I found out the supernatural was real.

Then I discovered I'm a dragon shifter.

Soon after, I learned I'm also a mage.

Turns out this combination is incredibly rare, and now everyone wants a piece of me.

Being a dragon, there's only one thing I want to do: gather my hoard.

Power. Magic. Women. Riches. It's all going to be mine.

Good until the last 2 hours

So, the entire time it’s an obvious male power fantasy, so it wasn’t really all that enchanting, but it was serviceable. The fight scenes were fun and the protagonist was likable and the intimate scenes weren’t half bad. That was, until the last two hours. The protagonist becomes an insufferable sleeze-ball and things just fall out of nowhere for him with no rhyme or reason. I mean, it’s a Shifter Harem book, so I knew it wouldn’t exactly be To Kill A Mockingbird, but at the end it devolves into basically what an 11 year old kid would write about a superhero version of himself where all he writes is “And then he gets all the girls and becomes invincible and no one can ever be better than him”.

too whiny.

I felt as if the mc came across too too whiny. He spent the better 3/4 of the book whining and complaining about women wanting him which is utterly dumb. As for the story, it started out okay but ended up not flowing so well. A lot of good writers just cant get the dragon thing down well and I believe this tory was one, too too angry and hung up on this alpha male trait that just comes across overbaring. there's literally no reason for him to save the thunderbird girl near the end where I had to stop reading. Okay story, great performance but just not worth it in my opinion.

Pretty dang good

I would have bought the second book if it was available right now, the narrators did a great job, had great fight scenes good backstory and the adult stuff was pretty good imo. Dante king is good at what he does.

A bit cringy but ok story

Jessica Threet and Christopher Boucher bring the story to life. The book is what it is, but the performance is 100%.

Great banter

The banter and conversations have a very natural feel to them. Each character having there own style and characteristics to their speech. The story is interesting and the steam factor is through the rough. If you don't like dirty talk than this book is not for you. I have to say this, the narration is SS+ rank by both performers. I think I just found new favorites.

Mama's Boy Embraces the Dragon

This has been the most entertaining story from the actual story to the nitty gritty mature themes I have gone through lately. This is my first book by this author and is this series has me wanting to put them right at the top of my list. I love this story and its dynamics.

The various supernatural critters and variety of shifters in general just kept me smiling as did the poor sap of an mc who just landed into being the luckiest of lives a man could hope to live. How he handles everything and how he is literally taken back by everything was just entertaining. Him being willing to admit in his normal life none of this would have happened whereas now it does is a nice touch.

I also love that the mc is not just some judgmental prick and finds beauty where it is be found in his partners in every shape of being. That there is writing and a level of acceptance that is amazing to find. The way he handles situations, fights, learning, or how he has to learn is just amusing. Him going from I have to help mommy to I have to help mommy, but she can handle herself let me have this cake had me shaking my head in a good way. How he gets his "spirit" to accept and give up its mantle in the end just outright had me grinning and I could actually see that reasoning, I agreed with the dragon that this was indeed new and amusingly/excitingly acceptable.

Everything in this book pulled me in and would not let me go at all and I love it!

Terrific First Installment

I am a fan of the Urban Fantasy Genre and this book fits nicely into that genre l. The MC is a nice guy who gets his eyes opened to a world he doesn’t recognize , only to find out he belonged there to begin with, and never knew it! His supporting cast of allies, enemies and others are all interesting and have their roles to play in future novels!
If I had to offer any criticism, (minor though they are ) it’s that one half of his initial clan wants his child and more are rapidly added before us getting to know them, but , as both points are addressed, I leave these as minor criticisms and just say I enjoyed the book and can’t wait for book 2!

Sloppy garbage

Less is more! Bad rushed story of random events. Alot does not make sense. Characters are unbelievable. Thought are glued with plot armor. Waste of a credit.
