predictable story lineup
this is the first time I read a fictional political thriller and had extremely high expectations because of the fact that I didn't have the slightest of the clue about this genre. it turned out to be a commercial plot

Where's Myron?
Where's Myron? lol Narrator Jonathan Marosz immediately had me thinking Myron Bolitar would appear at any moment! Of course the book developed into the kind of high quality read we all expect from David Baldacci. With credible characters and enough twists and turns to keep me reassessing situations and characters while trying to solve the original crime and those that followed it. For quality and entertainment this one goes into the top tier of my library.

Dyslexia, the Simple Truth
The Simple Truth was an OK book. Not in David Baldacci’s Best Book file, but OK.
The reason given for a not so guilty guy being in prison is not correct. Not according to my sources. My brother suffers from Dyslexia. People who experience Dyslexia would not behave in an uncooperative manner or not follow orders simply because they have Dyslexia.
I believe David Baldacci got it wrong & meant something completely different. Maybe a behavioural Disorder. Not Dyslexia.
Dyslexia is a disorder that involves experiencing difficulty with the written word. That is, difficulty in reading, learning to read, interpreting words, letters & other symbols but doesn’t affect general intelligence or behaviour. People who have Dyslexia do not see a page of text like the rest of us. All the words merge together & move either in a sideway or downward direction. The concentration required to first, still the text & then to isolate each word before being able to read is extraordinary. Extraordinary is also their ability to actually learn how to read in the first place under such difficult circumstances.

Baddies are very bad and goodies believe in God
This book is for people who like a clear difference between the baddies and the goodies. It is made clear from the start which is which so there are very few surprises except towards the end when the author may have thought that it was a good idea to turn one of the baddies into a goody. It also became clear that to be good, it is important to believe in God and know your bible well. A small bit of sex was added to spice things up but it was, generally pretty predictable. If you like your stories without too many surprises, this one is for you. The narration was OK but sometimes moved from one character to another without pause so took a few seconds to realise that the scene had changed. Unchallenging but possibly OK for a long flight or holiday read.
