Publisher's Summary

Her dream is to open a music hall. Only one thing stands in her way - the man she loves. The final Wicked Wallflowers novel from USA Today bestselling author Christi Caldwell.

Leaving behind her life as a courtesan and madam, Clara Winters is moving far from the sinful life to which she was accustomed in the gaming hell the Devil’s Den. Her more reputable and fulfilling endeavor is a music hall for the masses. One night, when she sees a man injured on the streets of East London, she rushes to his aid and brings him home. It’s then that she discovers he’s Henry March, Earl of Waterson, and a member of Parliament. No good can come from playing nursemaid to a nobleman.

When Henry rouses to meet his savior in blonde curls, he is dazzled. This smart and loving spitfire challenges his every notion of the lower classes - and every moment together is a thrill. But after Henry returns to his well-ordered existence, he strikes a political compromise that has unintended consequences. Will his vision for London mean dashing the dreams of his lovely guardian angel?

Beautiful Story!

This is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever listened to. The characters are perfect for each other because they make the other one a better person. Tim Campbell, what can I say? You add life to every story you narrate and this one is a gem.

Such a disappointment

As much as I would have loved to say I love this book I can’t. It was really historically inaccurate and I found the characters completely impossible to believe. While I love heroines with problems and issues was a long-term prostitute in the early 1800s yet she still looks like a Fresh faced girl and was perfectly beautiful and voluptuous and anybody who knows anything about history knows that this is absolutely ridiculous she talks about being beaten up and injured while being a prostitute yet she hasn’t one scar on her face she has all her teeth she’s not an alcoholic or addicted to opium it’s just unbelievable in that timeframe a high-ranking Lord would ever ever consider a street prostitute especially one that had run a brothel which catered to his peers. This fact made it impossible to understand the likelihood of any sort of attraction between these two people. While I love the idea of two people from different worlds coming together and falling in love despite their differences this was not a realistic story that could even be remotely believed and while I’m able to suspend a certain amount of belief because it’s a romance novel I still expect some historical accuracy and in the past I feel like Miss Caldwell‘s novels have been quite good this is not worth even picking up if you’re a true lover of history and want to read about characters that might have had a relationship.

Not the best book of the series

It was disappointing to say the least. The beginning of the book was fine but as it went on the story just became unrealistic. The timing of the way the plot unravel was just a little off. Definitely not my favorite of the series

Unbelievable premise, but well written

Cute story but the premise is totally unbelievable! I have loved this series, and all of the books feature misalliances. But THIS one is with a prostitute/ madam and an earl. I don’t care how much you fall in love, this marriage would NEVER have taken place. One can only suspend disbelief so far.
On a positive note, the characters were interesting, the hero was witty, and there was plenty of danger and turmoil. The book was well written and Tim Campbell is a great narrator.

Enjoyed angst of story. All her books are quite readable. Interesting characters and plot that moves along.
