A new, jaw-dropping thriller from the instant #1 New York Times bestseller of The Boyfriend and The Housemaid!

There's no place like home…

Blake Porter is riding high, until he's not. Fired abruptly from his job as a VP of marketing and unable to make the mortgage payments on the new brownstone he shares with his fiancée, he's desperate to make ends meet.

Enter Whitney. Beautiful, charming, down-to-earth, and looking for a room to rent. She's exactly what Blake's looking for. Or is she?

Because something isn't quite right. The neighbors start treating Blake differently. The smell of decay permeates his home, no matter how hard he scrubs. Strange noises jar him awake in the middle of the night. And soon Blake fears someone knows his darkest secrets...

Danger lives right at home, and by the time Blake realizes it, it'll be far too late. The trap is already set.

Mcfadden is one of my favourite authors now. Isn’t a single book she wrote that hasn’t had me hooked. Her characters are so realistic, the twist’s amazing and the red herrings impeccable.

The narration was incredible for an equally compelling story .

Tenant starts at a promising note but the twist becomes too predictable and after that it's just a drag.

not Freida Mcfaddan's best work

The antagonist's persistent and annoying behavior throughout the story, particularly during each murder, was irritating. Enjoyed it thoroughly despite its predictability. The voice acting was excellent.

Talk about crazy love!!

Thrilling

Being 100% honest, I did not enjoy the start of this novel. It felt like a horny fantasy harem novel being written for first 15 chapters, and then it felt like a sadist novel for next 25 chapters. I knew it was building upto something, but I wasn't a fan where it was heading. All that changes in the last 20 chapters. I did not see that plot twist coming at all, and this comes from someone who is very quick to spoil stories by predicting what and how it will end. I still do feel the writing of the main character feels a bit mysoginistic, but apart from that the rest of the characters were beautifully created. I hope whoever picks this have the will power to last the first 40 chapters because the ending pays off amazingly for all that slow pacing and buildup at the start.

A great ending to a bad start
