Publisher's Summary

A revolutionary marketing strategy proven to drive sales and growth.

They Ask You Answer is a straightforward guide to fixing your current marketing strategy. Regardless of your budget, you are almost certainly overspending on television, radio, and print ads, yet neglecting the number-one resource you have at your disposal: the Internet. Content marketing is no longer about key word-stuffing and link-building; in fact, using those tactics today gets your webpage shuffled to the bottom of the heap. Quality content is the key to success, and you already have the ingredients in-house. This book shows you how to structure an effective content strategy using the same proven principles that have revolutionized marketing for all types of businesses, across industries.

Author Marcus Sheridan's pool company struggled after the housing collapse; today, they're one of the largest pool installers in the US, turning away millions of dollars in business they simply cannot accommodate every year. How did he manage it? He answered questions.

This audiobook shows you how Marcus's strategy can work for your business, and how to use your keyboard to bring customers through the door.

  • Boost your company's web presence with methods that work
  • Build a level of trust that generates customer evangelism
  • Leverage your in-house resources to produce winning content
  • Utilize tactics that work, regardless of industry or sector

When people have questions, they ask a search engine. If you have answers, the right content strategy will get them to the top of the search results and seen by millions of eyes every day. Drop the marketing-speak, stop "selling", and start answering. Be seen as an authority, not just another advertisement. They Ask You Answer describes a fresh approach to marketing and the beginning of big things for your business.

Incredible content.

This book, both validated and inspired our company to follow the concept of a different- and nonnegotiable - form of marketing. Your business will follow their lead or miss an opportunity to obtain real, measurable and educated buyers. Was not a fan of the narrator- sorry.

Wow- I'm a believer

This is my first audiobook. And yes, I was skeptical to the idea of being able to follow along without visible text. I have listened to NPR, The Economist and several other periodicals in audio form but never have I listened to a book.

After the first chapter I realized that I fully understood the concepts outlined but I also felt more engaged than if I were reading directly from text. Each of us has our own way of learning and while I have come across so many books and topics that have interested me personally, I've struggled with the commitment required to read a book in its entirety.

I only wish I discovered audible.com sooner.

Digital Agency Ready to Answer!

My name is Chris and I have been a fan of Marcus's for a while now. I was so excited to get his book. I own digital marketing agency (Colorado Web Impressions) and in my industry it's a lot like the car industry where people can get a bad reputation fast! I plan to start putting all of the lessons learned within this book to use within the next few months for my business! Blessings to you Marcus

Lots of filler...

Some good content and interesting perspective. The author shows his belief in the idea of "if it can be said in 5 words say in in 105..."
Very repetitive and tons of filler.

The voice actor reads very slowly. Can play 2X speed and not miss anything. Required reading for work, audiobook made it a bit less painful but could have gotten the same info in a 5 page essay with some bullet points.

This book is a masterpiece of marketing and nothing else.

Stick with the written book

Our company loves Marcus Sheridan's book so much we had our entire staff read it and held discussions on how to implement his concepts. His work is fantastic and will truly change your business if you do it.

That said, the narrator on his Audible version is simply unbearable. Like others have said, I literally have to turn off this book to stop hearing that guy's voice.

Marcus, please do yourself a favor and re-record your great book with a different narrator. They Ask, You Answer is a classic and deserves so much better.

Thought provoking, inspiring.

I got many ideas listening to this book, though I never worked in sales or marketing.
The strategy described makes a lot of sense to me, it is thoroughly explained and supported by well based evidence.
I think it can be life changing for individuals and companies. I would say it's a must read for entrepreneurs, marketing and sales professionals.

Great book, annoying audio

The content and advice is brilliant. The issue was with the audio, the beginning of many words were cut off. Seems like a delay in the audio recording kicking in when the narrator started to speak.

Interesting, ballsy advice

A book with a strong message that makes sense though may be hard to follow through on. The delivery is a bit annoying atb times particularly the sheer number of times the book title is repeated throughout the narrative with a little pause before each repetition

The soup to nuts modern tactical way

Ok - duh it's time to decentralise marketing and ditch the ego centric personalities that drive it. Employees- you know the questions and you have the answers - a release from generating "look at me" drivel and focus on what the customers you want, want! Simply brill. Although don't underestimate the ramping up this takes!
