Publisher's Summary

Following a ferocious battle against Nurgle’s hordes, Lieutenant Quiller and the crew of Titans’ Bane are trapped inside the stricken Shadowsword. With her Cadian unit half-depleted, Quiller is forced to rely upon Paragonian and Mordian replacements.

Vicious infighting within the tank soon becomes as dangerous as the enemy outside. In order to survive, Quiller knows she must remind her men that loyalty, camaraderie and self-sacrifice in the name of the Emperor transcends all planetary customs and patriotism.

Almost feels like your part of the crew.

I love the different actors voice actors, I love the radio sounds, I love the way they talk while in the tank. It's all amazing.

I thought it was gonna be shitty because it's so short but it's really not. The voice acting is just amazing.

My Spirit Soars

Hold steady on the ramparts men
And raise our banner high
Weep not for those who fall today
For we shall never die

A short tale of bravery and vengeance.

I've never really had much love for the Cadians, but if they're all this brave then the loss of their world is truly one of the worst the Imperium has suffered since the siege of Tera.

good story, some odd things

I'll admit I didn't pay attention as much as I probably should have but out of the 3 40k books I listened to tonight this one was the longest and held my attention the least. I couldn't figure out why they had a female voice but everyone kept calling her sir. maybe I'll have to give it a re-listen in the future. good story and ending though. recommended.

Amazing short story.

Amazing background performances (although they occasionally overtook the words). Only wished it was a little longer to enjoy the characters a little more.

Action Packed

A short book but it gets to the point straight away. listen as a stormblade crew fights a desperate battle against the forces of Nurgle. you're thrown into the action straight away and it's a very enjoyable ride with very good voice acting. worth a buy!

Brilliant voice acting

A simple yet excellent story told in the 40k universe. The voice acting is phenomenal and plot moves along at a blistering pace. The effects and other sound effects serve to enhance the experience. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer!

Classic Warhammer story, amazing performance.

amazing. strongly recommended. while the plot is the classic Warhammer fare, the performances, the environmental sound effects and the dialogue put it over the edge. I felt like I was there. There is indeed something special about audio dramas

Best black library audio drama I have listened to so far!

It’s only 45 minutes long, but it’s enjoyable, loud and makes you feel you are in the shadowsword with the crew of the super heavy.

Great effects and an engaging story. Worth a listen.

Superb Experience

The story was a bit naff, played by some safe tropes which is fine and worked because what's really great here is the sound design. feels very claustrophobic, very immersive. very enjoyable, shame it's so short!

another amazing audio drama from black library

This is a most listen by any fan of Warhammer 40k and/or tank enthusiasts! The cast portray a diverse range of characters from multiple worlds and beliefs within the short 45min running time.

The only criticism I have for this audio drama like all that come from Black Library is that there's zero chance for a follow up, would be a good step from the studio to have a series or two that threads together.
