A must listen

If I were to rate my all time favorite books, this would be in the top 5. The message is a timeless truth that is so relevant for the church today.

OK Read for Self Help

If you have a minor problem where you need help forgiving someone, this is a good listen for you. The book starts out pretty good and provides some excellent advice on what to do, though it is a little shaky on how to do it. It doesn't get any better after about the first hour. From thereon, it seems to repeat alot and just present examples of other peoples' plights. I was hoping for more, but did garner enough advice to make the listen worthwhile.

It will challenge you into a new Perspective

What made the experience of listening to Total Forgiveness the most enjoyable?

Forgiveness is an under preached but profoundly important perspective. This book answers the questions we all have about forgiveness, what it is, and importantly, what it isn't. I listen to it several times a year and each time I am reminded that I can give the great gift I have been given, and freedom results. In the face of the most horrible deeds, we can find freedom without sacrificing justice. Highly recommended.

Just what I needed to hear in this time of hurt

Having been mortally wounded by the actions of a close friend and family member, the content of this book was EXACTLY what I needed to hear at exactly the right time. I am so glad I found this book. I'm certain I will be reading it again a second and third time!

Loved it. Just what I needed.

Very biblical. Great for the nonbeliever, too. Very practical steps. Narration was slow, but used the speed up function.

Too Much Religion

There are some really powerful lessons in this book, but if I had known that it was a Christian based narrative, I would not have purchased it. I am always bothered by what people think this supposed god knows or does not know, hates or does not hate. It totally ruined the experience of me enjoying this book.

Exceptional

This book is both extremely enlightening and challenging. I believed myself to be very forgiving yet, I fell short of the measure. I am indebted to this knowledge.

Amazing, learn how you grieve the spirit

I enjoyed hearing RT Kendall as I went to Westminster Chapel in Greg Haslam times and heard how RT was a legend and now listening to his book the Spirit was really at work to help to understand the power of forgiveness

Very legalistic and shaming

I really tried to like this book and gave it a chance, but it is so old school and black and white. I felt more shame reading this than before and it wasn’t conviction, it was condemnation. I didn’t agree with his martyr attitude and after the intro which was very black and white, it said that RT had letters from people asking him how they were meant to forgive and do the other things he said if their own daughter had been murderer. He said he factored in for much harder things to forgive but he hadn’t. Went on about the same old thing and then said unforgiveness leads directly to sexual sin. What nonsense. I really advise to steer clear if you don’t want to feel guilty and separated from God. Of course one needs to forgive and I thought this book was going to help me with that but instead it was so legalistic. Very disappointing.

Gotta listen to it again. Very impactful and life changing.

So deep and challenging that that it will take a bit of time and LOTS of prayer to implement everything in this book.

An excellent study in how to forgive

This book is a challenge to do the radical work of forgiving those who have hurt us. To be Christ-like in grace and mercy. To be wise, gentle and longsuffering, like our God.

Highly recommended

Really well explained and I especially love that the author reads - his pace is just right as the subject of forgiveness is tough and there is a lot to mull over.

Great book, poor narration

I read this book and loved it but the narration is robotic. Not always the best option for authors to narrate their own work and in this case I think an actor would have been much better.

Dry and monotone.

This was so dry and monotone. I didn't like the mans voice and it really didn't keep me engaged. It was hard work to listen to. I'm sure it has some good content but I just couldn't stand it.
