Editorial Reviews

A nice introduction to the intriguing history of Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress, as London's iconic Tower is officially known. Performer Abbey Holmes' voice is silky as she describes the many legends surrounding the Tower, such as the story of the murdered princes, and presents fun facts such as the reason the Yeomen Warders are known as beefeaters. Dramatic music filters in and out of the recording, but enhances it rather than detracts. A recommended choice for tourists on their way to visit London, or students doing projects on this historic castle with a dark history.

"I'm learning all sorts of stuff about stuff I didn't even know I didn't know. And it sticks. In a nutshell: wonderful." (Jonathon Margolis, Financial Times)
