Torino, fine anni ’40. Clelia è in attesa del suo te, ma la cameriera dell’albergo ritarda. Indispettita, apre la porta della sua camera proprio quando una giovane donna in tulle azzurro viene portata via su una barella.
Nei giorni successivi, Clelia conoscerà la ragazza che ha tentato il suicido e le sue amiche. Dapprima il suo interesse per loro è il riflesso delle aspirazioni che aveva da bambina, quando era povera e nessuna di queste ragazze l’avrebbe degnata di uno sguardo.
Si sente estranea ai loro pensieri di morte, convinta anzi che "lottare per riuscire" come ha fatto lei sia la soluzione. Ma forse sono più veri i cinici discorsi di Momina. Non portano a un lieto fine.
