The classic has been treated with brilliant depth, and really fires up the imagination. All the voices do it justice, Long John Silver and Jim stole the show. Billy bones was good. Loved the parrot. Jim's mom was full on melodrama, guess it was needed too. My first audio book and it was lovely.

Enchanting storytelling

one thing, as others have commented, the drama is hard to follow. it is a pirate story so most characters are constantly shouting and the sound effects make it hard to follow the story.

but that is the nature of the story. grab some head phones, make sure it is a quiet afternoon, and then, you will really enjoy this. I definitely liked it and will be listening to it many times.

good pirate adventure

It's all shouting more than acting. I feel the story is not that great. Only listen if you have nothing to listen
