Abridged
Although it's not stated, this book is abridged. I felt that the story was too short and too much was missing for this to be enjoyable. Maybe unabridged would be better but there is not one available.

Actually Abridged
The descriptor does not mention that this is an abridged version. This spoils the story, creates continuity problems and, on the whole, makes this a rip-off.

Can't go wrong with Karin Slaughter!
Would you listen to Triptych again? Why?
I had already read this book (and most of Karin Slaughter's back catalogue) but my husband wanted a good audiobook so I suggested we start at the beginning! I love the Will Trent series and will happily listen to all of these books more than once. Slaughter's books never hang around, you never feel like they are slow-paced or slow-burners, she hooks you right from the start. The characters are enjoyable and every story is an easy, enjoyable read/listen. Thankfully the narrator was good and didn't have an irritating voice, good performance all round. Would thoroughly recommend, although this is probably my least favourite of Slaughter's books it still kicks the pants off of most other crime writers.

What was most disappointing about Karin Slaughter’s story?
I was recommened this book from a friend who had put me on to Gillian Flynn and after reading those books this did nothing for me.
