Publisher's Summary

Released as a short-lengthed teaser to the novel The Girl in the Moon, a new novella from number one New York Times best-selling author Terry Goodkind.

Wandering through the snowy woods in the mountains near her home, Angela Constantine stumbles upon a wolf feeding on the body of a murdered young woman. That discovery is only the start of her problems. Throw a blind evangelist and his mute sister into the mix, and New York Times best-selling author Terry Goodkind has concocted another irresistible cocktail of suspense, a tale where the difference between life and death dances on the edge of a razor-sharp blade.

Trouble’s Child, a novella set in the world of the novel The Girl in the Moon, is the perfect introduction to Angela Constantine, Goodkind’s most memorable creation yet: beautiful, mysterious, and deadly.

Well written & well narrated

Terry Goodkind can certainly craft a gripping story, people with indelible characters. This one is tight and quickly paced and Angela is a fascinating creation. He’s managed to merge horror, detective fiction, social drama, with his trademark fantasy, but in a subtle way, with Angela’s strange talent for seeing more in the eyes of a killer than just rage or fear. I wish Goodkind were still around to take this series further.

Elizabeth Rogers did a brilliant job narrating this piece, giving it every ounce of life & emotion it needed and deserved. Bravo!

This should have been a chapter it was so short

Liked the book but, he took what should have been four chapters and made it four books. Very disappointing.

loved the story, was sad it was too short.

I loved that s story, Angela is one of my favourite characters, and I was glad to have another story about her. my only sorrow is that it was over so quickly. I consumed this book in one sitting and was left wanting for more.

Love the Character

Love the Character, she has a very strong presence and her abilities, make her very fascinating. This short story is a little predictable but looking forward to more of Angela Constantine!
