Gabriela Keselman nació en 1953 en Buenos Aires, Argentina, aunque aún siendo adolescente se trasladó a Madrid y, con el tiempo, adoptó la nacionalidad española. En la actualidad, Gabriela Keselman vive entre España y Argentina.Ha trabajado como docente en el área de creatividad infantil y ha coordinado diversos talleres. También ha colaborado como redactora en varias revistas, especialmente en la revista Ser padres hoy, en la que permaneció once años y fue jefa de la sección "Así crecen", y en la que reseñó libros, ofició de crítica, entrevistó a otros autores y escribió sobre literatura infantil y juvenil.
