Als der Hypochonder Konstantin ein Ziehen im Oberbauch verspürt, ist der Fall für ihn klar: Leberkrebs im Endstadium. Im Wartezimmer seines Hausarztes trifft er dann Freya, Traumfrau und Yogalehrerin, kurz vor der Abreise nach Thailand. Normalerweise käme Konstantin bei dem Wort "Thailand" Malaria in den Sinn. Ruhr, Typhus und Denguefieber. Doch als Freya ihn in ihr Camp einlädt, denkt er an Sonne, Palmen und Sandstrände und beschließt, da er ja eh bald sterben wird, ihr Angebot anzunehmen.
Es beginnt eine Reise, die sein Leben verändert.
