Publisher's Summary
The war is tearing our world apart. Instead of big armies with tanks in the field, the Vampire War is fought in the streets, neighbor against neighbor, family against family. Anyone can turn at any time. The blood hunger can suddenly appear in the middle of a kiss. The person who sleeps next to you every night could wake up in the dead of night... hungry. So hungry.
V Wars: Night Terrors collects all-new stories from the reporters embedded with the beats (humans) and the bloods (vampires). Each tale explores the nature of terror and peels back another layer of our comfort. Each tale bares our throat to the bite. New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Maberry and his team of frontline storytellers bring you all-new tales of horror and heroism, of pain and delight, of deadly despair and soaring courage. The war between beats and bloods is blazing. Pick a side.

Great collection!
Would you listen to V Wars: Night Terrors again? Why?
Yes, definitely. What I liked best is that there was a lot of background for the different V's. Really well-built story!
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
I do not remember having listened to them, but their job here was FANTASTIC. Each narrator brought something new to the table and was wonderful as their character.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, and no. While I loved the stories enough to listen in a single 15-hour sitting, the fact that there were multiple stories and narrators made it all the better to listen a little every day!

FANTASTIC
Listened for Fun (Audible)
Overall Rating: 4.00
Story Rating: (ranged) 3.5 to 4.5
Character Rating: (ranged) 3.5 to 4.5
Audio Rating: 4.50 (not part of the overall rating)
Read It Rate It Thoughts: This is the second set of V-Wars stories that I have listened too and I am fascinated by them. This one particularly delved into the different types of "V's" and that appealed to the history lover in me (great cultural and ethnic tie-ins). The stories are well paced and lace together pretty seamlessly. I think fans of fringe science will particularly like it because there is a lot of little intricacies explored in the types of V's. Also fans of stories like World War Z will love it because of the broad spectrum of little stories all connected. Overall this is quickly becoming a not miss for me.
Audio Thoughts:
Narrated by: full cast, Cassandra Campbell, Gabrielle de Cuir, Richard Gilliland, Jamye Grant, Stephen Hoye, Alex Hyde-White / Length: 15 hrs and 36 mins
This is a DO NOT MISS on audio type of performance. Each narrator nailed their parts and worked together really well. I love full-cast recordings because it feels more like an old radio show. This group worked well together and really brought the stories alive.

Tedious
I didn’t love the first two books in the series, but wanted to see if it got better...there were flashes in the second book. But no, it got worse.

decent continuation of the series
much more an assortment of storiea rather than progress of a plot. any progression comes about by some contrivance of change in moral outlook of some characters. Not as good as the previous 2 vwar books, but still a good read. I especially like the "big Charlie" story arc

Simply outstanding!!
A collection of tales by some amazing authors all linked to one overall story. They make it work seamlessly and have created an incredible book! One of a kind story line by some of the best authors and narrators out there. Start with the first V Wars book and you'll be hooked!

The Crimson Queen!
Cultural and ancestorial identities created many more and thoroughly different vampires. The “Bloods” and the “Beats” continue to wage war throughout the cities of the country. The curious entity was Rancid; who or what was he? The war with the vampires escalated as the vampires organized under the direction of the Crimson Queen. The various stories held my interest and I enjoyed them entirely. The series was not quite what I was expecting but the compilation of stories, authors, and narrators was awesome the way it was all put together. I think the uniqueness of the whole is well worth the high rating.
