Willi ist nicht der Typ, der tatenlos zusieht, wenn in ihrer Stadt Hunde verschwinden. Sie hat zwar keine Polizeimarke, dafür aber einen scharfen Verstand und ein Team aus ungewöhnlichen Ermittlern: dazu zählen Bruno, ihr charmanter Freund, Elvis, der King-Imitator mit Herz, Lukas, ihr hilfsbereiter Nachbar, und Lenka, eine Medizinstudentin. Mit Witz, Mut und Elvis' Mischling Hound Dog als Lockhund stellen sie den Bad Kissinger Hundedieben eine Falle. Doch der Plan entwickelt sich nicht wie gedacht. Und Bruno läuft derweil Gefahr, sich von einer einsamen Dame selbst an die Leine legen zu lassen.
