New narration by Alyssa Bresnahan Warbreaker is the story of two sisters Vivienna and Siri, who happen to be princesses. Theirs is a world where those who die in glory return as immortal gods; a world transformed by BioChromatic magic, a power based on an essence known as breath. By using breath and drawing upon the color in everyday objects, all manner of miracles and mischief can be performed.©2009 Dragonsteel Ent, LLC (P)2009 Recorded Books LLC Action & Adventure Epic Fantasy Science Fiction

Captivating story by Brandon Sanderson and magical narration by Alyssa Bresnahan. It was my first audio book as well as my first book by Brandon. Loved it way too much.

Captivating

Sanderson is without a doubt the master of fictional high fantasy worlds and hard magic systems. both of which are at the forefront of this book. The characters grow incredibly and their arcs are believable and relatable. The magic itself is nothing short of marvelous, though nothing less is expected of Sanderson.
Alyssya Bresnahan has done a phenomenal job with the narration. None of the voices were irritating(as is the case with some narrators) and many were downright lovable.

A masterclass in worldbuilding

The plot is very engaging and fast paced after initial few chapters. I really enjoyed the dialogue between Lightsong and Blushweaver. Also the chemistry between Siri and Susebron.
I have a feeling that this will be one of favourites from Brandon Sanderson.

Thoroughly Entertaining

Disclaimer, I read the Mistborn series before going through Warbreaker. Definitely a weaker story, but then it's improper to compare a it with an amazing trilogy like Mistborn. Takes a bit of a time to get going, and only picks up pace at the end. The narration is exceptional though! Fantastic reading by Alyssa!

Okayish considering it's Brandon Sanderson book!

The cast of characters gets an A+. Especially loved Lightsong and also Denth. The story is about avoiding war, so lot of politics and very less action which I seemed to really enjoy.

I barely could keep the book down in the latter half. I would highly recommend this.

A great standalone book set in Cosmere universe
