Alice Coldbreath is the best!

I simply adore Alice Coldbreath! If you like historical fiction with steamy romance, she's the author for you! I can't wait for the rest of the series on audible

Enjoyable story

I enjoyed this story, and the plot developed enough to truly hold my attention until the end, rather than being tepid like many historical romances. I liked how the characters grew through the story, too.

Pretty standard

Absolutely.. as expected. Not a shocking twist to the story, nor a huge disappointment. It was well written, but utterly cliché. If you like mushy with a little bit of smut, then this is the book for you. You know what you’re going to get. Slight angst before everything comes good at the end. But not so much that you worry for them..

You won’t be on the edge of your seat, but you probably won’t be bored enough to switch it off. It’s essentially a Sunday afternoon movie on a rainy weekend. Reasonably enjoyable
