About this listen
Ana Belle never wanted anything more than to hang up her apron, jump on her Vespa, and ride off into the sunset, leaving Sugartown in the dust.
Elijah Cade never wanted anything more than a hot meal, a side of hot arse, and a soft place to lay his head at night where he could forget about his past.
But you know what they say about wanting: You always want what you can't have.
Nineteen-year-old virgin Ana is about to discover that's not quite true because a six foot three, hotter than hell, tattooed Aussie sex god just rode into town. He's had a taste of her pie, and he wants more - no, really, Ana bakes pies for a living, get your mind out of the gutter.
She'd be willing to hand over everything tied up in a big red bow. There's just one problem: Elijah has secrets dirtier than last week's underwear. Secrets that won't just break Ana's heart, but put her life at risk, too. When those secrets come to light, their relationship is pushed to the breaking point.
Add to that a psychotic nympho best friend, an overbearing father, a cuter than humanly possible kid brother, a wanton womanizing cousin, the ex from hell, and more pies than you could poke a...err...stick...at.
And you thought small towns were boring.
Welcome to Sugartown.
Content warning: Intended for a mature 18+ audience. Contains explicit sex, oodles of profanity, and a crap-tonne of awkward.

I absolutely loved both Rupert as Elijah and Jenny as Ana.
Especially the way Jenny has done the voices of Holly, Ana's bestie, has perfectly captured her character and also her brother Sammy... Ahhh.. I loved Jenny's voice.
Then there's Rupert... OH freaking hotness.
This book has wrecked me, had me so angry... I wanted to slap someone because of the dark twists and angst on high that completely blindsided me.
For some reason I went into this one blind, thinking 'Sugartown' meant it was going to be a Small Town and Sweet Romance between a hero with a dark past and a heroine who was the sweet girl and we would have amazing chemistry and ride into happy times after watching them banter and some minor conflict.... WRONG.... I WAS SO FREAKING WRONG.
THIS BOOK TOTALLY HAD ME FUMING... NOT KNOWING WHOM TO WHACK because I was not ready and seriously didn't anticipate the volatile turns and ANSGT THAT WAS SUPER HIGH.
That being said, it says a freaking lot about the writing that I still liked this book a lot and the characters so much so that I'm looking forward to the next books in this series.
I'll be honest though, I loved the chemistry initially and even by the end of the book what Elijah feels for Ana... The desperation, the-can't-live-without-you feels... I was digging... But that one mistake.... Nope not forgiving him no matter what.
Ana might have and they do go through so much.... Oohhh... Yet I will not ever forgive Elijah.
I do respect him for everything he has done for Ana and also I feel for him but as a romantic partner... A Hard freaking No.
I get that he's a tortured soul and needs someone LIKE Ana.. Still Noooo.
Yup this book has tossed my emotions into a whirlwind and I had to rant my feelings somewhere.
I'm now more prepared for continuing with this series because I know what to expect but my goodness is the author awesome because inspite of all the angst, the tangled feelings and complicated emotions being.... I'm all in for the next book.
This one will make you feel a freaking whirlwind of emotions
