Publisher's Summary
The book that started it all!
A vintage '90s romcom from number one best-selling author Shari Low.
1999.
Carly Cooper is 30, single and after coming close to saying ‘I do’ to six different men, she’s wondering if she accidentally said ‘goodbye' to Mr Right.
But there is a problem.
Her ex-boyfriends are scattered all over the world, and Carly lives in 1999: an era before Facebook, Google, smartphones, 4G and Broadband, when it was impossible to track people down with a few clicks of a mouse.
On a mission to discover if she walked away from her 'happy ever after', Carly quits her job, her flat, her whole life and sets off on a quest to track down all the men she has ever loved.
Her Mr Right is out there, but can she find him?
And what if he’s moved on from the ex-girlfriend who said goodbye?

I laughed after a long time
This RomCom book better than expected. The overall plot and the individual stories were absolutely entertaining and kept me waiting for more. The first half was so rich in stories and adventure that i didnt want it to end. The second half was full of anticipation and discovery. Every life event was written so well that it could have been a novel in itself, but since it was all moving so fast, i stayed glued till the end. I would like to read more from the author. Also the narrator did a good job sticking to the Scottish accent and i will look forward to hear her more.

A little dated now
It threw me off at first how it was a little dated now but I stuck with it and was so glad I did. A great story!

Not for me
I don’t have a problem with the British accent. I actually love it, but this was too hard. And I just couldn’t focus on the story…

Excellent Narration. Expected More from Story
It took me weeks to finish this book. I found the beginning to be very slow but picked up in the last 3-4 chapters. I enjoyed the characters but thought the story drug on for no apparent reason and the ending was lack luster. The narration was on point making up for the story. If you want something to accompany you on mundane tasks pick this listen.

Excellent performance, shallow story.
Do people like this main character really exist? An ultra light read firmly in the fantastical realm of romance. Starts out fun but the lead comes across shallower and somewhat more repetitive by the chapter.

Liked it more than I thought I would
Took a trip down memory lane with this one. I loved it for that. So the main character is a little (ok a whole lot) whacky and the the storyline is so unbelievably crazy, but like the title says “what if” if you just want to sit back and listen to someone else’s idea of a crazy, stupid, going wrong world that just might end up ok. Give it a go. You may just enjoy. Only niggle - the Scottish accent meant I missed the story and had to rewind often. But it added to its charm in other areas.

Okay..
This is an alright listen. I think there are too many characters to keep track of. I listened to this over 5 days but had to keep recapping to figure out who was who (that didn’t work!) All a bit daft, Cooper is the most fortunate person in every way except love.

One of those stories!!
If I could go back and relive this story all over again, I would. The excitement, the sadness, the shock… it’s amazing. You won’t regret listening to this book. I’m so glad I did.

Light
Light and amusing, but predictable. The premise promised to amuse, but while it was ok it fell flat. Enjoyed the narration.

Loved it!
As I would have been the same age as Carly at the time, I related to the references to fashion, hair and music and absolutely loved it. The narration was fantastic. Off to download ‘What Now’

Crazy!!!!
This story was completely different from the usual Shari Lowe and I laughed my head off. It's of the shenanigans of Carly who has a wild idea and sticks to it!
Whilst it's not all Sunshine and rainbows for Carly, others do benefit in her wake.
Loved music references along the way. Made it fun.
Beautifully narrated as well.
If you're looking for a light read with a giggle or two this is the book.
