Absolutely riveting

This is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review. It's an absolutely fascinating read. Beautifully paced. Artfully unfolded. The third act really does bring the house down!

Charlotte Ritchie's narration is pure perfection.

Highly recommend!

A brilliant plot which keeps you guessing!

A thoroughly enjoyable listen, this book is full of twists and turns and plays with the reader right until the end.
Each of the characters have complex facets, and the emotions, realities and relationships that they experience left me feeling torn about who to feel empathy for - it’s an emotional rollercoaster ride!
The storyline and characters really draw the reader in - you’ll be hooked!
A fantastic debut from this author and I’m sure this book would make a fantastic film!

Different

I was a bit hesitant about buying this book. I avoid missing children stories (too many) so not sure why I went ahead. Aside from the mother obsessing about her child - the rest was a surprisingly good, and the suspense part makes me look forward to more books from this author.

You won't be able to stop

It is beautifully written and the timeline structure is quite clever. From the beginning you want to find out more and more. Also, Charlotte's voice makes the book come alive.

excellently read by Charlotte Richie

I rarely write a review but feel I should on this one. this kept me listening and focused on the story. I didnt think I would like a book where a child was hurt but this was at the beginning and the story progressed really well. riveting and moving. Great read!

Only listen if you enjoy feeling on edge!

Tense. Interesting story with real twists. Almost stopped listening after the first couple of chapters as it was making me feel so on edge but glad I didn't.

Disappointing

Very strong start, intriguing... but then slowly become quite repetitive to the point of boredom. Almost seemed like the author just ran out of steam after 10 chapters and then just repeated stuff to pad out the story. All in all, rather disappointing...
