Publisher's Summary

Two schools - both in leafy Larkshire, but worlds apart. The incomparable Jilly Cooper turns her brilliant pen to the explosive world of education.

At Bagley Hall, a notoriously wild, but increasingly academic, independent, crammed with the children of the famous, trouble is afoot. The ambitious and fatally attractive headmaster, Hengist Brett-Taylor, hatches a plan to share the facilities of his school with Larkminster Comprehensive - known locally, as 'Larks'. His reasons for doing so are purely financial, but he is encouraged by the opportunities the scheme gives him for frequent meetings with Janna Curtis, the dynamic new head of Larks, who has been drafted in to save what is a fast-sinking school from closure. Janna is young, pretty, enthusiastic and vastly brave - and she will do anything to rescue her demoralised, run-down and cash-strapped school.

Neither parents nor staff of either school are too keen on this radical move, although some can see the possible financial advantages. For the students, however, it offers great opportunities to get up to even more mayhem than usual.

"My reading of Jilly Cooper's Wicked! was not guiltily pleasurable - it was just pleasurable...a brilliantly refreshing read." (Polly Vernon, Observer)

I am no prude but this is all about under age sex

I love Jilly Coopers Rutshire Chronicles to date but this one was a step too far. Headmistress kissing pupil and staff bonking young and old alike with absolutely no moral compass. Rape even shrugged off. Sorry i have abandoned midway as cant take it.

Boring

Really boring. Goes on and on monotonously with very little happening. Do not bother trying to listen to this.

Very long and tedious

I found this book exceptiontely long and just could not get into it. There are too many characters and, I found the story did not flow.
I have been reading it on and off for a long period. When I come back to it, I listen for a short while but soon get bored.

The narator was good.

Thanks for sorting the chapters out Audible!

In my previous review I had a technical issue with the audiobook starting at Chapter 36. Audible have sorted this out - many thanks Audible!

Jolly Jilly at her best.
