A mystery with a difference
This could have been your run-of-the-mill mystery, but it's not! The story is absolutely gripping, and the narration (performance) complements it to make it a brilliant book. The twist at the very end was nicely done.

Mindboggling Brilliant!
This story start at the end and ends at the starting point. The main character goes step by step into the past and peels away layers of mysterious incidents with astonishing results. It gripped my mind right up until the end. A very intelligent enjoyable read.

Smart and original story with great performance
I never write reviews but felt compelled to after listening to this book.
I loved it. Compelling and original story which just keeps bringing surprises. Just when you think you’ve figured out the twists another one comes along to add a layer.
Alongside the story is great characters you really feel invested in. A couple of times I had to pause the book to think about what they had said, musing on life, death, motherhood, family expectations. Could be quite heavy topics but came out as moments of reflection.
Performance wise nothing t fault the accents helping to build believable and rounded characters and bring them to life.

A truly excellent listen!
This is probably the best thing I have heard in close to a decade listening to Audible. The story is gripping and incredibly well thought out, the performance is excellent and it is really thought provoking about the various paradoxes of time travel. Bravo!

So many twists and turns
Loved everything about this book.
You think you know where it’s going and bam it takes a turn, then another and another. It’s not outlandish absurd twists but very unexpected, even if you think you have worked it out.
The narrator is great and I will definitely be looking for more books from both.

Had To Give Up on This Story
Started off really good, a mother wanting to save her son, he’d shot a man. Then it went downhill from there. It was the day before the shooting, then the day before the day before and so it went on. I tried moving on a couple of chapters but that didn’t work for me. Perhaps if the story was told without all the time travel it would have been better. Not for me.

A “novel” approach by the author
I really enjoyed the unusual way this story was written. A simple easy ‘read’ made captivating due to the twist. A perfect book for my holiday. And the narrators voice and performance was excellent.

Fantastic story, annoying narrator
The narrator reads too fast and in an anxious, rushed tone when it shouldn't be, for a good couple of chapters at the start. It was so frustrating I almost gave up. The story however is fantastic! Great ending. Worth the read and pushing through the narration.
