THIS IS ONE HELL OF A STORY.

IT’S JUST NOT HERS TO TELL.

When failed writer June Hayward witnesses her rival Athena Liu die in a freak accident, she sees her opportunity… and takes it.

So what if it means stealing Athena’s final manuscript?

So what if it means ‘borrowing’ her identity?

And so what if the first lie is only the beginning…

Finally, June has the fame she always deserved. But someone is about to expose her…

What happens next is entirely everyone else's fault.

I loved the story of the book , the inner thoughts and ramblings of juniper song stood the most.

The narration was amazing, the way the narrator switches between the two povs was very compelling.

This is a brilliantly written story about guilt, insecurity, and self-doubt, and how they can make you question even your own abilities. As an overthinker, I found June painfully relatable — even after adding her own voice to the stolen manuscript, she is never truly confident in her work.

The book is also a compulsive page-turner. There are moments when you’re almost yelling at the protagonist because you know exactly how badly her choices will end, yet you can’t stop reading.

Uncomfortable, clever, and deeply engaging — Yellowface is as fascinating as it is infuriating.

A sharp, unsettling page-turner

The way characters are written is so human....It is as if jealousy comes so naturally to human mind....and Juniper is not scared to accept that. I am sure she loved Athena somewhere as a friend but it shows how work/industry can quickly take over human relationships and emotions...How one can't help but be selfish even if they don't want to be like that.

Can't help but remember someone like Athena in our lives too
