Publisher's Summary

She's the one who got away. This time, he refuses to let her slip through his fingers.

Daniel Bennett has no regrets, except one: letting go of the woman he loved years ago. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but he's been pining for Caroline ever since.

But his meddling family can read him like an open book. So when his sisters kick up their matchmaking shenanigans, Daniel decides to play right along. After all, he built his booming adventure business by making the most out of every opportunity. And he doesn't intend to miss an opportunity to be near Caroline.

Caroline Dunne knows better than to fall for Daniel again. But his seductive charm melts her determination to keep her heart in check. Even with their lives going in separate directions, neither can ignore the magnetic pull between them.

Will they find the second chance they've both wanted all along?

Contains mature themes.

Bennett

Loved YOTL! The Bennett Family is one of my favorite family series out there! Daniel & Caroline we’re college sweethearts but broke up when college was over. 10 years later, they’re still involved with each other’s family and their love/attraction for one another hasn’t changed. Love a good reconnecting/second chance story. Would definitely recommend! Narrators did a great job as well.

Predictable, but I did enjoy this audiobook

I have really enjoyed the Bennett family series. It is sweet and tastefully sexy. Joe Arden has a great male voice, but his female voice does not work for me. Layla Hagen is a good writer, and I enjoyed this audiobook, but it was a bit predictable. When Caroline used the term “holy bananas”, I definitely rolled my eyes.

Details of “Your One True Love” are NOT as how this is book really is

First...I’m no prude...if I was I’d certainly not get Audible monthly Romance books. In a nutshell..I felt like there was no plot at all!

Second..when the details of a book are read before one reads, you’re gonna expect the book to be somewhat close to them. Well this really isn’t.

A love who comes back & explained in the beginning was fine, after Chapter 4 is was chapter after chapter of graphic sex..I mean EVERY chapter! I got to Chapter 12 and said to myself..”self..this is like listening and watching movies ‘After Dark’, just turn on the TV!!”

Like I said..I’m no prude but it’s was so sexually repetitive & boring..I just stopped it and didn’t go further.

Now maybe there are a lot of you who love this kind of story, and I usually do too..but EVERY CHAPTER??

I actually gave generous marks too..for narration, but other than that, reviews are always subjective & this was mine.

Second-chance romance

This is a sweet second chance romance. I listened to this series over the last few weeks and I really loved building a relationship with the different characters. Daniel was, for some reason, less "known" to me in that I don't think he was as well characterized in prior books. However, I have loved all the Bennett family and Daniel was a good character. I had an issue with the fact that he broke up with Caroline and honestly, I don't know that it was clear why he did it. It made me feel a bit distant from the character.

That said, it was a sweet second-chance romance and it works because Caroline and he had a good relationship since she was still entrenched in his family as she was close with his sisters. I overall also really enjoyed glimpses at the Bennett family, which is a family I wish really existed in real life.

I listened to the audiobook via audible escape (although I previously purchased all the ebooks realizing how much I enjoyed Layla Hagen's writing." As always, Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell were great. There were some forced voices, especially as they played other characters but overall, I enjoyed the whole book and the narration added to the narration.

Disappointed

Story was allright. It would have been better if the female character didn't ramble on so much and if the female narrator was better.

Great second chance love story

I loved this story! I am a fan of second chance romances and what I liked most about this is that there wasn’t a major issue that caused them to break up in the first place. Their entire story felt very “real life” as in this is something that could totally happen to anyone and there was no excessive drama that is put there just to give them a hard time. I would reccomend to everyone!
