What happens when you finally get the answer to a question you’ve been asking your entire life?

At 44, Geoff Kullman was diagnosed with autism and ADHD. The diagnosis brought an unexpected mix of fear, disappointment, disbelief, relief, and—perhaps most surprisingly—a sense of safety.

In the first episode of Late to the Spectrum, Geoff begins unpacking how he got here, what led him to seek an autism assessment, and what it felt like to finally hear the words he had spent so much of his life unknowingly circling around.

But this isn't a podcast about having all the answers. It's about figuring them out.

Because a diagnosis doesn't change who you are. It can, however, change the way you understand who you've always been.

If you've ever wondered why life seems harder for you than it seems to be for everyone else, if you've recently discovered you're autistic or ADHD, or if you're simply trying to make sense of your own story, you're invited to come along.

This is the beginning of a journey from confusion to understanding—and from asking “What's wrong with me?” to asking “What’s happening here?”
