About this listen

In the dead hours between midnight and dawn, every house has its own darkness. '3 AM Anywhere' is a collection of stories set in the most unsettling place on Earth: the quiet hum of a sleeping home at three in the morning. Luna brings you tales of footsteps on the stairs when no one else is awake, of faces at the window that vanish when you blink, of the creak of a door that should have been locked. Each episode is a self-contained narrative, a single candle flicker of dread drawn from the universal fear of being the only one awake. From the drip of a faucet that spells a name to the static of an unplugged radio that whispers yours, these are the stories that happen when the rest of the world is dreaming. Luna's voice guides you through the dark, a witness to the small, intimate horrors that thrive in the stillness of 3 AM. Pour yourself a warm drink, stand at the window, and listen for what moves just beyond the glass. The clock reads 3:00. You are not alone.

  • The Night the Ward Lights Went Out — Fexingo Horror
    May 6 2026
In October of 2019, I spent a week in the tiny town of Stillwater, Nebraska, helping my aunt clean out my grandmother's house after she passed. The place had been in the family since the 1920s, a two-story colonial on Maple Street with a wraparound porch and a backyard that backed up against the old county fairgrounds. At night, especially after midnight, you could hear things from the fairgrounds—not animals, not wind, but something else, something that seemed to be waiting. This is the story of what I found on the fourth night, when I walked down to the empty midway under a moonless sky, and what I saw inside the shuttered fortune-teller's tent that still had a single light burning behind its canvas walls.

  • The Night Shift at Swenson's Gas & Go — Fexingo Horror
    May 5 2026
October 2017, just past midnight on a dead-end county road outside Wichita Falls, Texas. My cousin Caleb worked the graveyard shift at Swenson's Gas & Go, a one-pump station swallowed by mesquite and scrub. He always said the worst part wasn't the boredom — it was the headlights that would appear at the far bend, then vanish two hundred yards out, no car ever arriving. That night I sat with him on a dented stool behind the counter, drinking stale coffee from a styrofoam cup, and we watched a single pair of lights flicker, approach, and stop halfway. Then the radio started playing static with a voice buried inside it. Not a call. Not a broadcast. Just a woman saying his name over and over, the way you'd call a dog that's run off into the dark. We never opened the door. We never saw what left those tire tracks in the gravel that led nowhere. But the next morning the clock on the dash of Caleb's truck was still blinking 3:00 AM.

  • The Last Customer at the All-Nite Diner — Fexingo Horror
    May 4 2026
September 1991, just off Interstate 80 in a small Nebraska town called Hesper. Luna worked the graveyard shift at Ruby's 24-Hour Diner, a place that only saw truckers and the occasional insomniac. This was the night a man walked in just after 3 AM, soaking wet even though it hadn't rained in weeks. He ordered coffee, left a perfect ring on the counter, and asked her a question she still can't answer: 'How long has it been since the last train passed through?' There hadn't been a train through Hesper in seven years—the tracks were torn up in '84. But that night, she heard a whistle, and the coffee cup was still warm long after he vanished.
