    Maple syrup. I guess it did not occur to me that not everyone knows where it comes from and how it is made! I do not know all the in's and out's on how it is created, I just know it is yummy in my coffee and a lot of work to create. Our ancestors sure had the fortitude to create it. Somehow I feel quite lazy and nonproductive when I think about how much work it took for them to boil it down. No wonder it was a luxery and not an everyday treat!
