    Among her main research interests is exploring the lived experience of ageing in urban Japan and the ways in which older people construct a meaningful and satisfying life.. 

     

    In this podcast Dr Kavedžija discusses her work; the challenges Japan is facing with its top-heavy demographic where nearly 30% of the country's 125m population is weighted towards older people; and what other nations may be able to learn from the Japanese when it comes to dealing with ageing populations.
