  • Shalom Pt. 2 (How It Was Intended) - S1E12
    Sep 16 2024

Today we are looking at the very last chapters of the Bible, Revelation 21-22. What can it teach us about who God is?

Want more resources on this topic?

Even Better Than Eden by Nancie Guthrie: This book talks about different topics in the Bible with a full picture considering Genesis - Revelation.

Revelation For The Rest Of Us: This episode of Back Porch Theology features Dr. Scot McKnight and is a great overview of engaging Revelation as a whole. He has also written a book by the same name.

The Overcomers by Matt Chandler: This new book is about the book of Revelation as a whole and it’s application in our everyday lives. The podcast interviews about this book have been helpful in my framework of understanding Revelation.

Here are some of the every day resources I use to dive deeper into the Bible:

A Study Bible: My study Bible is this New Living Translation, which has been helpful for me the last ten years in learning to read the Bible.

Youversion Bible: This app is a quick, easy way to read a section in different translations. Sometimes I read a verse in NLT, NIV, ESV, AMP, and The Message to see it from a few different angles and try to understand what is being communicated.

Blue Letter Bible: This website/app is free and full of commentaries, cross references, definitions of root words, and more - it's a great resource for exploring a section of Scripture more in depth.

My recommendation is to read a passage without resources at first, praying and talking to God about help to understand. After that, there are a lot of resources out there!
