And with him you were raised tonew life because you trusted the mighty power of God, whoraised Christ from the dead. 13 You were dead because ofyour sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cutaway. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgaveall our sins. 14 He cancelled the record of the chargesagainst us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.Matthew 3:11 (NKJV) 11 I indeed baptize you with waterunto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightierthan I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He willbaptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV)17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My namethey will cast out demons; they will speak with newtongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drinkanything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will layhands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 10:16 (NKJV) And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them,and blessed.1 Timothy 4:14 (NKJV)14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was givento you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of theeldership.2 Timothy 1:6 (NKJV)6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which isin you through the laying on of my hands.Acts 19:6 (NKJV)6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the HolySpirit came upon them, and they spoke with tonguesand prophesied.Acts 8:17-18 (NKJV)17 Then they laid hands on them, and they received theHoly Spirit. 18 And when Simon saw that through the laying on of theapostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offeredthem money,John 11:25–26 (NKJV)"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me,though he may die, he shall live."John 5:28-29 (NKJV)28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.2 Peter 1:2-9 (NLT)2 May God give you more and more grace and peace as yougrow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. • We Are Made to Worship
    Jul 28 2026

    This week the Message is with Pastor Sharon Blais called We are Made to Worship from Sunday July 19th 2026

    These are Scriptures that were referenced during the sermon:

    Psalm 100:4-5 (NKJV)
    4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting. And His truth endures to all generations.

    Ephesians 5:13-20 (NKJV)
    13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.” 15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

  • The Role of Music & Words in Worship
    Jul 21 2026

    This week the message is with Pastor Ricardo and it is Titled: The Role of Music & Words in Worship from Sunday July 19th 2026.

    Psalm 150 (NKJV)
    150 Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! 2 Praise Him for His mighty acts;
    Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! 6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

    Instruments: are not doing the Praising, The people playing the Instruments are praising with them.

    Psalm 96:1-4 (NKJV)
    96 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
    3 Declare His glory among the [a]nations, His wonders among all peoples.
    4 For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.

    Praising with instruments and praising with songs are two different acts.
    Both glorify The Lord but they accomplish different purposes.

    Music is a language of emotions, of feelings, of sentiments, of mindset a language of the SPIRIT
    We use singing as a language to declare, to proclaim, to teach a language of TRUTH

    1 Samuel 16:23 (NKJV)
    23 And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.

    2 Kings 3:15 (NKJV)
    15 But now bring me a musician.” Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him.

    Singing = It Teaches:
    Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

    Ephesians 5: 18-21 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.

    Singing = It Teaches:
    Deuteronomy 31:19,22 (NKJV)
    “Now therefore, write down this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel…”

    Therefore Moses wrote this song the same day, and
    taught it to the children of Israel

    Singing = It Proclaims, declares and celebrates God’s marvellousness and attributes (worship)

    Exodus 15:1-2 (NKJV) Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord, and spoke, saying: “I will sing to the Lord, For He has triumphed gloriously!The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!2 The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

    Singing = It testifies He is above all

    Psalm 66:1-2(NKJV) Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!Sing out the honour of His name;Make His praise glorious.

    Luke 1:46-49 (NKJV)
    “Oh, how my soul praises the Lord.How my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour!For he took notice of his lowly servant girl,and from now on all generations will call me blessed.For the Mighty One is holy,and He has done great things for me.

    In essence: Songs teach hearts, proclaim His majesty, declare His salvation, celebrates His wonders.

    Lyrics Shape Belief

    Music prepares the environment, allowes the Holy Spirit to work in our hearts, manifest our feelings in a way that words can’t describe or explain.

    Music Prepares our Hearts

    Neither replaces the Other

    Together They Create Worship
