Yet, only 27% of them are likely to enter the workforce and often exit these careers earlier than their male peers. Why is that so and what can be done to bridge this gap? Shar earned her Bachelor's in Technology from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where she was one of the few female students in her class.
