Taking Controlled Risks to Evolve as a Marketer

In this episode, we explore how intentional, measured risk-taking can drive professional growth in an evolving market. Our guest this week, Ingrid Sierra reflects on pivotal moments in her career where embracing change allowed her to adapt, grow, and expand her impact as a marketer. The conversation highlights the value of mentorship from both perspectives: giving back through guidance while also learning from younger generations to stay connected to emerging trends and ideas. She also discusses the importance of exploring new roles and opportunities as a way to better understand where the industry is headed. With greater access to information and learning than ever before, this episode underscores why marketers should feel empowered to try new approaches, develop new skills, and pursue continuous, intentional growth.

Ingrid Sierra is a French-British professional with 20 years of global marketing experience who specialises in B2B and B2C strategies, boasting a proven track record of revenue growth and enhancing lifetime customer value for international brands. Present with Power: How Action Builds Confidence

In this episode of Bloom Talks, we sit down with Mary Langan who helps people step into their confidence, speak with impact, and push past fear - whether they’re sharing a small idea in a meeting or delivering a keynote on stage.

She takes us through her experiences training professionals across the industry and shares memorable moments from individuals who transformed their careers by finding their voice. We also explore some eye-opening statistics on the lack of female CEOs, the persistent gaps in seniority, the ageism barrier for women in the sector and what this means for future leaders.

Throughout the episode, she offers practical, accessible tips on crafting and delivering a powerful presentation: how to manage nerves, how to structure your message, and how to grow through imperfection. Her message is clear - confidence isn’t innate; it’s built through action.
