    Thursday means Thursday Night Football, and Coach opens Week 6 with Seahawks at Broncos (SI). Both teams are 3-2, but Coach argues Seattle is better than people think and Denver is living on preseason hype. He points to Bo Nix's 123-yard game in the win over the Chargers and a season line of 942 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions (ClutchPoints), J.K. Dobbins' slow start, Jaxon Smith-Njigba's seven receiving touchdowns and the Cooper Kupp fourth-down play that came up short against the 49ers (Seahawks.com). He calls letting Kenneth Walker III go to Kansas City a calculated mistake by Seattle (KCTV5) and warns against player props on a Thursday. Picks are Coach's opinion, and lines move.

    With the Brewers up 3-0 on the Dodgers (MLB.com), Coach asks what a sweep would mean and builds a no-salary-cap NFL super team to show what the Dodgers have done: Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen, Bijan Robinson, CeeDee Lamb, JSN, Puka Nacua, Aaron Donald, Myles Garrett and Micah Parsons, plus the chat's picks of Justin Jefferson and Brock Bowers. Then he takes on the players' side of MLB's salary-cap fight (PhillyVoice). He calls them delusional, predicts no baseball next season without a cap, and backs a salary floor, noting the Dodgers' payroll is bigger than the Brewers', Rays' and Guardians' combined (Front Office Sports).

    The back half gets personal: why BTT mixes sports and wrestling, why Coach stopped reading his mentions, why "we don't do podcasts, we do shows," and the WWE-era dirt-sheet writer who trashed him for six months and then turned out to be a fan writing "as a heel." In the chat segment Coach says Roman Reigns should be a special attraction rather than the main event while he splits time with Hollywood (Yahoo Sports; Street Fighter opens Oct 16). He also talks about how Coach and Bro critiques wrestling and about plans for BTT's premium membership.

    Coach, Mikey P and Peyton Lodge open with the NLCS: the Brewers beat the Dodgers 6-2 in Game 3 for a 3-0 series lead, with Jake Bauers' 11-pitch at-bat ending in the go-ahead two-run homer. Peyton says it's time to stop blaming Dodgers scapegoats and give the 103-win Brewers their flowers, and he's done with the "small ball" label for a lineup with four 18-plus-homer hitters. Then the money: the Dodgers' payroll tops the Brewers, Rays and Guardians combined, and the crew debates who that helps as MLB heads toward a lockout fight over a salary cap. Mikey shoots down the social-media theory that the Dodgers are tanking for the union.

    Topic two is Mike Tomlin on players-only meetings ("I think you're dead") and the Cowboys' players-only meeting after losing to Tampa Bay. Mikey and Peyton don't buy the concept, Coach wants Brian Schottenheimer to hold players accountable, and everyone looks ahead to Cowboys at Packers on Sunday Night Football.
