• Silence in Suffering - 1 Peter 2:18-20
    Apr 12 2023

In today's episode, Bartley dives into 1 Peter to show the biblical significance and Spirit-filled power of "Silence in Suffering." Peter writes this epistle to a scattered, persecuted, and distressed group of Christians across Asia Minor. Rather than dispel their fears of further persecution and a better life, Peter offers them a strategy for living the Christian life in the midst of a culture that hates them. The increasing relevance of this biblical message seems self-evident for those Christians living in the western world, among other places, today. Western culture is increasingly anti-Christian and secular, as to morality. Understanding the biblical plan for dealing with persecution and the unjust suffering that comes with it is becoming more and more necessary each passing day.

So, heck it out and see 1 Peter 2:18-20 has to say about it!

    Thanks for tuning in!

  • The Urgency of Personal Mission - John 4:31-38
    Apr 7 2023

In this episode, Bartley continues to explore his personal passion within the calling to teach that God has placed on his life. Building on last week's exposition of Romans 1:16-17, he continues outlining his passion for and the importance of making disciples. In John 4:31-38, Jesus has a conversation with His disciples about the urgency of their mission. Of course, that mission would be to tell the world of Christ and to make disciples of all nations. As Bartley examines this passage, pay careful attention to the urgency of your personal mission to make disciples in your own life, community, and context.
