The true success of human life lies in attaining inner peace and ultimately realizing one's true Self. In this journey, the greatest obstacle is our antahkaran (internal functioning mechanism in every human being composed of the mind, the intellect, the chit and the ego), and it is also our greatest tool. It is essential for our spiritual progress to understand how the four components of the antahkaran - the mind, the intellect, the chit, and the ego, function, and how they relate to one another.

In this interpretation of the Gita, the author explains that the essence of the Gita is the equanimity of mind, which is attained by transcending it because mind consciousness is myopic and only spiritual consciousness abounds in universal love and absolute knowledge.

Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional. Loss is unavoidable; grief isn't. Death is certain. And life? Well, life isn't certain. Its uncertainty, unpredictability, even its irrationality, make it what it is. Often, we run blindly into fire, we step on snakes, we get entangled in snares—these are the fires of desire, the snakes of attachment and the snares of jealousy and covetousness. If we are bitten, burnt and hurt, we call it suffering, and believe it to be the way of life, when, in fact, we are mistaking our pain for our suffering.

What is the impact of death on its notions of womanhood and caste? Is the Vedic approach to death different from the Tantric one? The idea of death and rebirth is embedded in the Hindu mind through ritual and story. Death is not just tragic, but ambiguous too.
